Nepal is about to Launch Free WiFi Service at World's Highest Peak "Mt. Everest" Base Camps

Mount Everest is world's highest peak situated in Nepal. Nepal is also known as the country of mountains with full of Natural Beauties. So, that Nepal has strong attraction among the tourist. Mount Everest is one of most visited place by tourist come in Nepal but sometimes they face so many problems while tracking to Mount Everest due to lack of Proper and expensive communication. An accident in Everest region have become costly affairs for the Nepal government and many such Accidents take place due to only lack of proper communication. So, that to resolve all that problems Nepal Government is planning to provide Free WiFi Zone at the world's highest peak "Mount Everest"


In Support of Nepal's Telecom Nepal is Planing to Provide Free WiFi at Mount Everest to facilitate reliable communication at the world's highest Mountain base camps.


 Digambar Jha, chairman of Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NAT) said " NAT is Planing to setup free Wifi Zones at Lukla Everest Base camp and Annapurna Base Camp"

 Annapurna is also a most attractive mountain in Nepal for tourist.  

 NAT said they will use "Okumura Model" for WiFi Service at Mount Everest, Which uses low-cost optical fiber cables for high-speed internet. Where special optical fiber will be used, which resistant to extream cold weather and icefall. 

 If optical fiber will not be abe to provide high-speed internet then they are even ready to use other technology such as mico-wave technology.

Currently:


WiFi at some hotels and restaurants at the Basecamp is available but its connection is so poor and even cost is more expensive. The user has to pay $5 per hour, Which is quite expensive.

After Implementing Free WiFi Zones:


NAT said it will help to boost tourism as the users will be able to share their Photos, Videos and Message right from the world's highest peak with high-speed internet with Free WiFi.

Hope NAT could implement all this very soon So, that Nepal could be the First place to provide Free WiFi at world's highest altitude.
